This role focuses on ensuring data quality is maintained, accurate, and reportable - responsible to evaluate essential data elements passed to other systems and used to support business processes in order to assist in assessing, improving, ensuring quality and the ongoing integrity of Weatherby's data elements. This role will follow processes, policies, and guidelines in order to administer Weatherby's defined data compliance with policy obligations. The Business Support Specialist will report to business leadership and data quality issues that might impact the business. They will assess the current state of data quality within the scope of their responsibility. This includes capturing/documenting information, and identification of information as assigned. This position will work closely with business and operations teams to establish good relationships while entering, correcting or updating information. This person will assist in answering questions regarding data quality and data quality improvement.

Your role:

  • Responsible for data quality and data integrity across multiple platforms
  • Provide employee and technology support as assigned for data related projects and initiatives
  • Create and run daily, weekly, and monthly reports related to data improvements/projects - ability to document and maintain content definitions, ownership, and quality rules
  • Ensure that data standards, processes, and procedures are followed. Report any deviation from established procedures and take corrective actions
  • Support and collaborate to help maintain training materials related to the data processes for Weatherby and evolving materials as needed - constant focus should be on the customer experience related to data
  • Engage with assigned areas within the business to develop and enhance knowledge and subject matter expertise
  • Report data issues and procedure lapses to the operational team. Communicate change in data entry procedures and quality rules
  • Will follow data-quality metrics and requirements, including definition of values, ranges, and data parameters
  • Responsible for intake, storage, processing, and transmission of data to internal and external systems
  • Provide ongoing and detailed evaluation of data quality, the identification of anomalies and discrepancies, and assist in determining the root cause and assist in implementing corrective measures
  • Follow guidelines and protocols that govern the creation of data to ensure that privacy controls are enforced in all processes
  • Contributes to a positive culture that fosters continuous process improvement
  • Other duties as assigned by management

Your qualifications:

  • Multiple system navigation skills as needed (Microsoft Office Suite, etc.), internet research, and database programs.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Work effectively alone as well as in collaboration settings - focus on excellently supporting customers, sales and business partners
  • Work on multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Prioritize and organize tasks effectively and independently.
  • Ability to handle complex issues and demanding customer expectations
  • Manages time effectively
  • Embraces continuous improvement
  • Understanding of how data is created and updated in Salesforce and other systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to partner effectively with sales leaders and reps
  • Salesforce experience preferred
Preferred Skills:

  • College experience preferred
  • Minimum of two years of work experience in an administrative position supporting professional level functions in a fast paced, team environment.
