For a financial client we need Data Engineer (AWS, Python, SQL). This position is based in Durham, NC or Boston, MA or Westlake, TX. We are Primarily looking for W2 Candidates and not looking for Third Party Candidates. The Role The Managed Solutions team in Personal Investing is seeking a skilled engineer to join us in building innovative and outstanding capabilities to our platform. You quickly gain an understanding of all the components of our applications and will work with the team to deliver a detailed customer experience. As an AWS Data Engineer, you will be applying your database development, Server and automation skills to develop, test, deploy file publishing / Processing applications using AWS technologies.

  • Assist in identification, isolation, resolution, and communication of problems within the production and nonproduction environment and perform fixes.
  • Resolves operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
  • Documents and demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
  • Prepares and installs solutions by resolving and crafting system specifications, standards, and programming.
  • Protects operations by keeping information confidential.
  • Provides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and data issues.
  • Accomplishes engineering and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
The Expertise and Skills You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering or requisite experience
  • 7+ years of development experience in SW Development
  • Strong hands-on working knowledge in Scripting
  • Experience and/or certification with Amazon Web Services required
  • Experience building data pipelines using AWS S3, Lambda, Python etc.
  • Writing SQL queries is desired.
  • Understanding, experience in AWS Glue, DynamoDB is desired.
  • Professional in scripting with the ability to develop automation tools.
  • Define, maintain, and support our enterprise products
  • Perform fixes and prioritizing in Assist in production and nonproduction environment
