- Design, build, maintain and troubleshoot tools/pipelines for building/operating scalable and secure distributed software systems
- Be passionate and help to improve the availability, performance, scalability and security of the products and systems
- Operate cloud production systems ensuring a strong focus on monitoring and metrics for analyzing health and usage of features
- Work closely with product management and application engineers to ensure that the systems are designed to be robust with a focus on high availability
- Lead the evaluation of new technologies and drive their incorporation into our technology stack
- Experience with Docker and docker-compose
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible or similar system automation / deployment tools
- Experience with build systems such as Bitbucket Pipelines
- Experience with shell scripting
- Experience with enterprise logging solutions - ELK stack, Loggly or other applicable experience
- Experience with Apache Pulsar and PostgreSQL
- Experience with JFrog Artifactory
- Comfort with Linux system administration
- Excellent team player and able to prioritize concurrent deadlines
- Located in EST or CST (Eastern or Central US) time zones
- Python experience is a plus
- Java development experience is a plus
