For a financial client we need Senior Software Engineer (Java, Containerization, AWS). This position is based in Westlake, TX and Boston, MA and Durham, NC . We are Primarily looking for W2 Candidates and not looking for Third Party Candidates. The Role The Customer Data Technology group supporting our Technology Domain within Fidelity's Personal Investing (PI) organization is seeking a Principal Software Engineer to craft, develop, and implement AWS cloud-based applications. This role is critical in delivering Fidelity's promise of creating the best customer experience. Apart from cloud-based application development, you will get exposure to our CI/CD deployment infrastructure, Agile development tools and procedures, relational (and non-relational) database technologies, and technology leadership opportunities. The Expertise and Skills You Bring
- 10+ years in designing, developing, installing, and support Enterprise quality applications
- 5+ years of hands-on development experience with:
- AWS Cloud environments
- Containerization and Orchestration technologies
- Application web server technologies
- Solid background in developing applications for Aurora Postgres, Oracle RDS, or similar
- AWS Developer certification
- Hands on experience designing and building AWS applications using HA and DR best practices
- Hands on experience with API development supporting large scale, continuously available Enterprise class platforms
- 5+ years Java development experience
- Python experience a plus
- 5+ years of microservices architecture & development using AWS technologies
- Experience developing in an Agile team setting (Kanban and/or SCRUM)
- Experience working in a DevOps and CI/CD environment
- A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience
- Ability to think out of box and design end-to-end solutions
- Passion and intellectually curious to learn new technologies and implement robust, scalable solutions
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent collaboration skills to work with multiple teams in the organization
