Job Summary: Our client is currently seeking a Programmer Analyst to join the Global Sales Operations team. This position will play an instrumental role on the team as the lead technical resource. The successful candidate will pioneer the design and creation of an integrated eco-system of sales platforms with a specific focus on business system integration, data infrastructure and enterprise system data management. They will be able to execute hands-on-keys programming as well as step back to see the bigger picture, and build an understanding of how the Sales organization works and what it's needs are. We are looking for candidates who possess expert problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, demonstrate creative thinking, can work independently and are intrinsically motivated. This position serves a global Sales organization and reports directly to the Sales Operations Manager based in Durham, NC. Travel is not required. The Sales Operations team supports a global Sales organization by providing them with tools and systems that help eliminate redundant or non-value-added tasks from their daily job and gives them the information they need to organize and make decisions. The team also works directly with executive management to provide decision support and ad hoc sales reporting and analytics.

Key Responsibilities:

Play a leading role in designing, testing and implementing Sales systems and sources of data during a transition to a new business environment
Provide support for conceptual design related to the integration of systems and tools, specifically in the following areas:
- Master Data Management
- Enterprise Data Warehouse
- Self Service Visualization & BI Reporting
Responsible for enabling and supporting business analytics and reporting solutions
Own, develop and maintain procedures, functions and views to support system integration and sales reporting
Design and maintenance of user interfaces
Create and maintain process workflows and documentation
Assist super-users with troubleshooting abnormal operations, identifying bugs, and developing new processes aimed at reducing variability in outcomes and optimizing system capabilities
Liaise effectively with internal IT resources to successfully execute cross-functional projects, providing functional expertise and technical guidance
Evaluate and optimize processes within Sales Operations

Required Skills and Experience

Technical skills:
- Experience with programming languages/databases such as Oracle PL/SQL, VB.net, C# and Microsoft SQL Server
- Knowledge of theories, principles and practices of systems and applications development
- Familiarity with common sales systems, including CRM, forecasting and sales incentives
- Experience using or supporting reporting platforms such as Tableau or PowerBI
- Experience with data warehouse technologies

Education
- Bachelor's Degree (B.A./B.S.) or equivalent in quantitative or analytical field (Computer Science/Information Management or related field)

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience in or working closely with Sales Operations
Experience with SAP HANA database, or other database technologies (SQL Server, Informix, DB2, etc.) (highly preferred)
Experience with EDI
Experience in the Semiconductor industry or other manufacturing environment
