Systems Service and Support Analyst

Durham, NC/ Merrimack, NH - Hybrid (1 week onsite per month)

Minimum Payrate : $50 Must Have Skills:
Strong working experience with Linux, Informatica, UNIX, Control-M and Oracle PL SQL, Database concepts. Heavy on the Linux, Unix, Informatica side, along with cloud technologies (AWS Batch experience), S3, Snowflake.

  • Ensure a stable environment, look for continuous improvements and efficiencies, through identification of Automation Opportunities to provide enhanced support, Problem resolution and Project Management. This role requires the ability to perform production and Data support work as well as the ability to research and resolve issues related to job failures, Control-M scheduling issues, and infrastructure changes for the various PI Distributed applications. These applications are crucial to the PI Business Unit’s Daily processing.
  • Production Support role involves all the following support functions: Incident management, change management. Problem Management.
  • Some support activities and implementations will be after hours or on the weekends, as needed. The successful candidate will also participate in the teams' on-call rotation providing off hours support.
  • Provide daily Operational and Data support for the PI Distributed Batch applications that spans around eDB, Customer Data Strategy, Financial Portfolio Hub, NGCC, Cash Management, Pasview, C3 and related Distributed System environment.
  • Batch monitoring and SLA / OLA tracking and ensure that all critical Batch problems are resolved in a timely manner
  • Ensure compliance with and improvement of support processes
  • Work together with support teams to identify automation opportunities, chart actions and status of those actions to improve operations
  • Understand customer / end user’s requirements and own the issue through closure.
  • Respond to user inquiries regarding application-related problems.
  • Participate in small to large initiatives ranging from application incident resolution work to project related tasks.
  • Document operational procedures and share knowledge with the rest of the Operations team and other teams.

The Skills that are Key to this role
  • Solid understanding of the business or function for which the application is desired
  • 5+ years of experience in Production Support role
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience required
  • Should have a strong knowledge and not limited to – Linux, Informatica, UNIX, Control-M and Oracle PL SQL, Database concepts, Agile and DevOps Methodologies (CI/CD adoption).
  • Cloud Concepts – AWS and along with knowledge of EKS, ECS, S3 buckets, Snowflake, Step functions, AWS Batch, also understanding concepts of airflow.
  • Related Domain knowledge and touch points from other Business Units.
  • Should be able to perform prod support activities like monitoring and resolving batch issues, perform root cause analysis of Incidents and identifying performance improvement opportunities
  • Strong Analytical, Reporting and Problem-Solving Skills
  • The applicant should demonstrate effective communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Must be an organized self-starter with a collaborative work style, customer service focus, and ability to multi-task.
  • Must be capable of learning complex processes quickly and can learn through independent research.
  • Ability to work as part of a team as well as independently.
  • Ability to learn and work quickly to meet business deadlines.
