Labcorp is recruiting a Sr Programmer/Analyst for a dynamic team in RTP, NC.

Responsibilities:
  • Hands-on developer who writes high quality, secure code with .NET C#, with Visual Basic 6 knowledge for Legacy support
  • Database Development, Analysis, Stored Procedures Contribute to all parts of the software's development including design, development, documentation, and testing
  • Responsible for the review and integration of vendor-provided systems and custom-built products with existing components
  • Software Development, Support, and maintenance
  • Communicate, collaborate and work effectively in a global environment
  • Deploys application code, familiar with Code repository Tools (Serena PVCS a plus)
  • Ability to research and assess technologies and components to recommend and integrate into the design and implementation.

Qualifications and Skills:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems or relevant field of study.
  • 5 or more years of experience preferred
  • Solid understanding of SQL and relational database modeling concepts and experience with RDBMS such as SQL Server, DB2 and Oracle. Proficient with creation and troubleshooting Stored Procedures
  • Worked closely with product management and with a team of engineers building software in a collaborative, agile development process using code reviews
  • Comfortable building automated testing at different levels (Unit Testing, Quality Assurance collaboration, Post-Production Verification with clients) and building resilient applications that handle failure gracefully.
  • Practical knowledge of working with large-scale event-based programming, and resolution of large-scale business problems
  • Building highly available, secure, redundant, and scalable distributed systems
  • Writing code that is performant, maintainable, clear, and concise
  • Ability to work both independently on ambiguous problems and in a highly collaborative team environment
