UI Developer

Durham, NC / Westlake, TX (Initially remote till pandemic)

6+ Months - W2 only

The Team
  • The UI Developer will work closely with the rest of the product development team in designing and building new capabilities and platforms.
  • You are comfortable working with a small team of developers in a fast paced and highly ambiguous environment working with emerging and new technologies, high risks and uncertainty!

The Expertise You Have:
  • Experience working directly with product & design teams
  • Experience leading a team of junior and establishing standards
  • Experience in building user interfaces utilizing CSS/HTML5/Backbone/Angular/Jquery/Bootstrap/JSON or other relevant front-end Javascript frameworks.
  • Experience with OAuth, REST and SOAP protocols
  • Deep knowledge of web standards, YAML, micro-services, W3C specifications

  • You have experience and knowledge of Test Driven and Domain Driven Development (TDD / DDD), including using automated test frameworks (e.g., Junit).
  • You are proficient using Node.js /NPM/CLI/Grunt/Gulp
  • You are proficient with Javascript & Typescript and functional programming including but not limited to Ag-Grid, HighCharts
  • You are an experienced user of one or more Application Lifecycle Management tools (e.g. Jira).
  • You are experienced with DevOps, and test automation
  • You are experienced with container & serverless architectures (Docker, Kubernetes, AWS Lambda)
  • You are experienced with CI/CD, built CI/CD tools and pipelines including but not limited to Jenkins, Concourse, uDeploy
  • You are experienced with Cyber Security guidelines and building secure code integrating with static/dynamic scan
  • You have experience with OAuth/JWT and security standard methodologies
  • You have experience integrating with 3rd party vendors demonstrating API
  • You have experience in migrating frameworks and ability to have them co-exist
  • You have experience in designing mockups and prototypes for time to market solutions

The Value You Deliver
  • Hands-on UI software engineer who brings considerable experience with application-layer development for web applications, using a broad range of technologies.
  • Directing a team of junior developers, training and mentoring standard methodologies.
  • Ability to debug and fix sophisticated web applications and deliver solutions on the fly
  • Responsible for building user interfaces primarily for web applications but device agnostic (Angular or other relevant frontend frameworks)
  • Collaborate with off-shore development team
  • Conduct demos, participate in technical reviews and drive perfection.
  • Work as part of a coordinated product team to develop prototypes, pilots, and full-scale applications
  • Raise issues and risks to executive management for timely resolution
  • Positive, people-oriented, and upbeat demeanor
