Senior Software Engineer

Role: Sr. Software Engineer

Location: Salt Lake City, UT or Durham, NC or Westlake, TX (1 week a month onsite and 3 weeks remote)

Duration: 12-18+ Months

Rate: $70-$75/hr

Must Haves: Must be strong in Java, Spring Boot, have API development experience and good experience with AWS.

The Team This team builds and supports authentication and identity management applications to facilitate secure access to systems. We operate through multiple channels including internet, voice and trusted partner sites providing both direct and federated authentication services. In addition, we support second factor authentication utilizing various out of band, knowledge based, and token verification methods.

The Expertise You Have

  • B.S.in Computer Science preferred, Engineering / Mathematics or comparable
  • 8+ years of full stack Java based software development experience building scalable and high throughput web applications
  • Experience building API's a must
  • Experience building and deploying AWS cloud enabled applications using 12 factor design. DE developing and implementing APIs and Cloud Solutions, using Cloud infrastructure and container technologies Amazon Web Services (AWS), EKS, Lambda, EC2, S3 and Cloud front.
  • Hands on experience with automation & pipeline implementation (Testing, Continuous Integration / Continuous Delivery pipeline) for enterprise applications, using Git, Jenkins, Sonar, Veracode, Gradle, Maven, Kubernetes, Docker, Helm, and Shell Scripting automated application deployment flows.

  • You are open to direction and following agreed upon standards; yet be comfortable with ambiguity and enjoy experimenting, developing and communicating alternatives
  • You have maniacal focus on automation and always looking towards reducing waste and improving efficiencies
  • You should enjoy presenting and learning the business behind the application
  • You have hands-on experience in designing and developing using the following technologies
  • Expertise developing API's demonstrating full stack Java based development
  • Experience with SOA and API frameworks such as SOAP and REST
  • Solid understanding of Pipeline/Build tools such as GIT, Maven, Jenkins, uDeploy.
  • Unix and Shell scripting skills, programming with Python desired.
  • Front end skills including JavaScript, JQuery, AngularJS, NodeJS and React a plus
