Bragg, NC. As a FORSCOM HQs Regional Information System Security Manager (ISSM) you will be responsible for implementing and supporting the organization’s RMF activities in accordance with NIST 800-37, ICD 503 and DoD requirements. Prepare, review and submit Cybersecurity/Information Assurance documentation to include, but not limited to, System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessments, Standard Operating Procedures, Body of Evidence (BoE) documentation and Authorization and Assurance (A & A) packages.What You’ll Get to Do:

Lead system security authorization processes.

Conduct independent comprehensive assessments of the management, operational, and technical security controls and control enhancements employed within or inherited by an information technology (IT) system to determine the overall effectiveness of the controls (as defined in NIST 800-37).

Develop unique cyber indicators to maintain constant awareness of the status of the highly dynamic operating environment. Collects, processes, analyzes, and disseminates cyber warning assessments

Develop cyberspace plans, strategy and policy to support and align with organizational cyberspace missions and initiatives.

Perform assessments of systems and networks within the NE or enclave and identifies where those systems/networks deviate from acceptable configurations, enclave policy, or local policy. Measures effectiveness of defense-in-depth architecture against known vulnerabilities.

Manage Accreditation Packages (e.g., ISO/IEC 15026-2).

Review authorization and assurance (A & A) documents to confirm that the level of risk is within acceptable limits for each software application, system, and network.

Plan and conduct security authorization reviews and assurance case development for initial installation of systems and networks.

Interface with appropriate government agencies, company management and employees, customers, vendors, and suppliers to ensure understanding of and compliance with security requirements.

You’ll Bring These Qualifications:

An active DoD TS/SCI Clearance.

BA/BS with 3-10yrs experience or Associates degree plus 4yrs experience to the base 3-10yrs requirement. Associate Degree plus 4yrs is the equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree. No degree plus 6yrs experience to the base 3-10yrs requirement. 6yrs experience is the equivalent of a Bachelor’s degree.

Extensive knowledge of the Certification and Accreditation (C&A) and NIST RMF processes.

Qualified at the IAM Level II for the DoD Information Assurance Workforce, must possess one of the following certifications: CAP, CASP CE, CISM, CISSP (or Associate), or GSLC.

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

Technical Writing experience (creating/updating IA policy & procedure documentation).

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation abilities.

Able to work well on independent engagements as well as within a team setting.

Strong client presence and interaction abilities.

Excellent understanding of common computing platforms, including Windows Server, RedHat Linux Server, and vendor specific appliance support.

Some understanding of military hierarchy.
