Job Summary

Dominion Energy Services is seeking a Human Performance Coordinator to work in their Gas Safety and Environmental Compliance organization.This position will be located in Gastonia, NC.

The Human Performance Coordinator will be responsible for the following: •Development, coordination, and oversight of the Human Performance program. •Act as a business unit subject matter expert in the area of Human Performance. •Define error prevention tools, including physical tools. •Coordinate implementation of the Human Performance Program including initiatives and plans. •Utilize their expertise to manage and evolve program components to address internal and external influences. •Participates in the development and delivery of initial and on-going Human Performance related training classes (new employee, annual refresher, leadership, contractor, etc.). •Leads Human Performance event learning teams (incident investigations), developing corrective actions, and documenting results. •Assists departments in analyzing human performance data including safety, environmental, and operational incidents, operational experience, and corrective action plans. •Serves as a liaison and collaborates with other departments, outside industry groups and vendors in support of Human Performance. •Remains well-informed of regulatory requirements, industry practices, safety trends, and Human Performance best practices. •Assess and tracks program effectiveness and communicates results.

The company is actively seeking United States military veterans and service members who meet the qualifications outlined below. •Military service members and veterans with a rank of E-5 or higher plus appropriate equivalent combination of education and years of experience as outlined below.

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Experience

•Bachelor Degree with 5+ years of related experience is preferred or; •Associate Degree with 7 years of related experience or; •A high school diploma with 9 years of related experience. •Thorough understanding of company policies and work methods. •Knowledge of latest Human Performance measures and ability to communicate effectively. •Ability to teach in a classroom setting. •Experience in developing approaches that cause sustainable, repeatable, and quantifiable human performance improvements. •Strong leadership skills. •Equally effective working independently or in a team environment. •Ability to articulate a vision and engage support for that vision. •Excellent oral and written communication skills (including technical writing). •Proficient in use of computer program applications. •Good professional relationship building and team player. •Ability to perform a root cause analysis for incident investigation. •Strong organizational and project management skills and evaluation techniques.

Education Requirements

• Bachelor Degree with 5+ years of related experience is preferred or; • Associate Degree with 7 years of related experience or; • A high school diploma with 9 years of related experience. Preferred Disciplines:

Human Factors;Adult Education;Educational Psychology;Educational Specialist;Safety;Industrial Hygiene

Other disciplines may be substituted for the preferred discipline(s) listed above.

Licenses, Certifications, or Quals Description

Human Factors Analysis and Classification System (HFACS) certification is preferred.
