Piper Companies is seeking a Sr. Database Engineer (SQL Server) for a growing technology firm in the Greensboro, NC area. Once things are deemed safe, the Sr. Database Engineer (SQL Server) will need to partially sit in the office a few days a week. The Sr. Database Engineer (SQL Server) will join a database team overseeing the database footprint globally. The Sr. Database Engineer (SQL Server) will assist in corporate initiatives such as the migrating the hybrid database environment to SQL Server.
Responsibilities for the Sr. Database Engineer (SQL Server) include: • Design, develop, and implement new database solutions across a global footprint • Gather systems requirements, translate them into artifacts, and work with the database engineering team to execute • DML, DDL, and RDBMS development and implementation • Mentor junior team members on database best practices • Documentation for standards and procedures • Improve existing processes and create new processes to improve overall efficiencies Requirements for the Sr. Database Engineer (SQL Server) include: • 4+ years of professional SQL Server database engineering experience • Proficient in architecting, developing and implementing database solutions at an enterprise level • Stronger understanding of DML and DDL • Experience with data modeling tools such as Erwin • Experience working on scalable enterprise level projects • Bachelor's Degree and/or relevant work experience Compensation of the Sr. Database Engineer (SQL Server): $125,000 - $165,000 annually with a full comprehensive benefits package.
