Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an Endpoint/Virtualization Engineer for a FULL TIME assignment with one of our premier Mortgage Insurance clients in Greensboro, NC. This is a direct-hire position. Client cannot sponsor Visas now or in the future. Hybrid Onsite Work: This is not 100% remote. Per Flexible Work Arrangement assessment. To ensure continued collaboration, innovation and other essential elements of culture are sustained, this role must operate from an office 3 days per week. The 2 remaining days may be worked remotely in a location with adequate internet connections, security controls and an ergonomic workspace. Systems Engineer II: acts as a subject matter expert, and provides thought leadership around architect solutions. Operates independently on moderately complex assignments involving the analysis of both business and regulatory requirements, as well as the analysis of the individual technical implementations to maximize benefit to the business. Cultivate successful relationships with business units, technical implementation teams, management and vendors. Responsibilities :

  • Define application and system configuration standards, works with commercial tools or writes custom scripts to validate and enforce them.
  • Design technical architecture for all core application services.
  • Perform advanced technical analysis and recommends IT systems purchases and upgrades as needed.
  • Identify and recommend usage policies and operational guidelines.
  • Project coordination and write documentation for technology implementations.
  • Track issues and business requests and conducts research on broad-based solutions and new features that meet user needs.
  • Second or Third level technical support of core, business and MI applications. Often requires management/coordination of outside vendors and internal subject matter experts.
  • Investigate& diagnose problems in assigned trouble tickets, as well as identifies and implements solutions. Communicate resolution back to team members and business users.
  • Write scripts/programs to automate builds, application deployments, patching and maintenance, configuration updates, access provisioning, and other system administration functions.
  • Builds systems per specifications to meet availability and performance targets as outlined in service level agreements with business owners.
  • Reviews system performance data and makes suggestions to improve overall performance, as well as forecasts future system needs based on trends.
Required Skills:
  • Moderate experience in Endpoint Management using Microsoft Intune.
  • Proficiency in VDI (Vmware or Citrix or AVD), Creating/Patching Golden Image(Client and server based Operating Systems like Windows 10 or higher, Windows server 2016 or higher ), User and Application Profiling (Fslogix or DEM or ivanti), resource optimization using tools like ivanti Performance manager or similar.
  • Proficiency in one or more high-level scripting languages (PowerShell, Bash, Perl).
  • Good Understanding on UAG, Vcenter host patching.
  • Good understanding on Azure AD, Azure Enterprise application, Exchange Online, SharePoint online and Microsoft Multifactor authentication, Teams.
  • Application Packaging and deployment Process (Fslogix, APPV,MSIX).
  • Desired Knowledge & Skills:
  • Experience in Agile Methodologies
  • Experience in Service Now automations
  • Experience in GitHub, Jenkins
  • Experience in Disaster recovery process
  • AVD would be a Plus
