Molding Operator (Second Shift)

Please note that this is a 9 months contract position. General Summary:As a Process Molding Technician you will be responsible for the manufacturing process ensuring quality products are produced with minimum scrap. The ability to identify and respond to process problems involving machinery, equipment, and raw materials will prove useful. Daily you will communicate with previous shift to review problem areas, take corrective action on any production line producing poor quality or scrap cable by shutdown, adjustment, engineering assistance, or maintenance work orders. Strong writing skills are helpful to document work by keeping logs and writing end of cycle reports.Duties and Responsibilities:• Analyze the manufacturing process, to not only develop a process but to be able to project and train other associates within the department per the Standard Work provided.• Assist engineering build of new products evaluating processes in order to validate or improve them.• Communicate with manufacturing leadership to review production problem areas, special projects, and other items needing attention and follow-up.• Provide required technical process support to manufacturing department and lead projects as necessary.• Assist in evaluating existing equipment improvements and new process equipment specifications.Requirements:• High School Diploma• 1+ years experience with molding process experience• Demonstrated Experience troubleshooting and running multiple lines at a time• Strong analytical skills and team playerPreferred:• Associates Degree• Experience with Fiber Optic Process• Experience testingApplicants must provide their phone number.
