Description: Packaging Engineer (CAB/Chassis) Job Summary Act as a link between Electrical Hardware Owners, Product Design, CAB and CHASSIS Packaging teams to secure design and installation requirements fulfillment. Candidate will coordinate and perform complex engineering tasks, under minimal supervision, supporting the mission of the Hardware group and EEVC department. Core Responsibilities:Provide Mechanical Engineering expertise to the Electrical Engineering component owners.Technical reviews with suppliers supporting from a mechanical point of viewDocumentation of Technical Inputs required to drive Product Design surface modeling (in case of HMI/visible parts).Loading and alignment of Product Design surface models with 3D component models (in case of HMI/visible parts).Release of electrical component 3D models per company requirements.Coordination with CAB & CHASSIS packaging and geometrical assurance departments to ensure mechanical requirements are met.Be the link between EEVC and CAB/CHASSIS/Product-Design Departments in terms of knowing who owns what and coordinating meetings and documentation to resolve packaging problems when they occur. Education Minimum B.S. Mechanical Engineering Required Experience, Skills and Training Past / demonstrable experience using 3D CAD tools, preferably CATIA V5 and/or CREO. A portfolio presentation will help understand your CAD usage, though not required for consideration. Experience with neutral CAD formats and conversions. Previous Automotive, Aerospace, Commercial Vehicle engineering experience preferred. Previous experience with functional dimensioning, tolerances and mechanical part design.Who we are?
