Job Description
Develop solutions based on received requirements and using Creo. Implement what has been decided as the technical solution. Make minor adjustments in already identified technical solutions.
The Wire Harness Packaging Engineer will work cross functionally to design, evaluate, and validate media routings (Wiring, Cables, Pneumatic, Refrigerant, and Fuel) in Cab department, ensuring all requirements are followed. Drive agreements among different areas (Manufacturing, Electrical Packaging and Wiring, Cab, Aftermarket, and other areas) through cross functional meetings for a robust solution while optimizing quality, cost, and increasing project team efficiency.Perform a virtual structured analysis of the medias routing verification throughCREO and coordinate physical validation with prototypes. Propose changes and improvements with creative problem-solving mindset. Establish priorities on needed actions. Identify bottlenecks and risks in media routings during product development phases vs project time planning. Report media routings status and risks for Project Management Office and Development Team Leaders.Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering is required.
- Must have CREO3 experience, with CREOCabling.
- Knowledge of Simplified Representation for large assemblies.
- Knowledge of PDMLink.
- Knowledge of Sheet Metal and Advance Assembly.
- Previous Volvo experience is preferred.
Additional Information
- Will be required to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%.
