Position Description Objective:The Risk Management internship position will be responsible for working with various Distribution Centers, Dealers, Internal partners, and Carriers Activities including, but not limited to, Cargo claims for finished vehicles/aftermarket parts, export shipments in support of international manufacturing and use of Volvo's Risk Management System, statistical analysis in support of Risk Management, and operational support within the Risk Management team in Greensboro, NC.Purpose of the Position:The Risk Management Consultant role provides the candidate with the opportunity to apply academic knowledge and skills in a professional environment, and to promote the career goals through contact with professionals in their field of Risk and Claims Management. This consultant experience enables candidate to participate in professional activities for Volvo Group Production Logistics by working on projects for the NA Risk Management Team.The consultant position is for a target of 40 hours per week. The specific work days and hours will be flexible, but agreed upon with the hiring manager.Main Tasks: Update Risk Management System (RMS) and Unified Claim Handling Process (UCHP) to reflect current state of open claims for both Inbound and Outbound operations Assist with research and data collection in support of both Insurance claims and carrier shipment deviations Assist with quantitative analysis of claims volumes, export shipment activity, and Data visualization Assist with reviewing completeness of claim records and shipment files Assist with operational project activities in support of inbound, and outbound claim operations Develop business cases to reduce damage and or cost

Skill Set Requirements and Minimum Education Requirements: BS/BA degree in Business Administration with a major in logistics preferred Applicants should be interested in pursuing a professional career in International Logistics or Risk Management Applicants should be proficient in use of web-based tools, access db, and mainframe internal systemsPersonal Competencies: Strong Analytical and Problem Solving Skills Effective professional verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills Microsoft Office Suite Power BI preferred Who we are?
