Modis is searching for a Systems Engineer, sitting in Greensboro or Raleigh NC! As the Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the administration, configuration, and maintenance of the IT infrastructure and to provide support for all technology services to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient performance.
You will, every single day: • Manages Hybrid Azure\Active Directory Domain including user maintenance, group policy, DHCP, DNS, etc . • Provide user administration, system monitoring, server and workstation installs, upgrades, testing, and backups for Windows environment. • Install, maintain, and provide support Windows Servers in a VMware ESXi environment • Ensures all critical data is protected through specific backup processes using Veeam and Rubrik • Support and maintain ITMS platforms for deployment of software, updates, and configuration • Provides support for Active Directory and Office 365 Environment • Maintains Active Directory, NTFS, and SharePoint permissions • Maintains server hardware including firmware, drivers, windows updates, and other critical updates • Assists with the support and maintenance of the network hardware including Cisco and Meraki . • Support and maintain security related technologies such as mobile device management, intrusion detection, network threat detection, web filtering, disk encryption, e-mail filtering, e-mail archiving, etc . • Manage and document system configurations • Monitor system operation to detect potential problems Additional Functions and Responsibilities • Additional duties as assigned Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : • Current working knowledge and management of Active Directory Domains, MS Windows Server (2008- 2016) • Current knowledge and management of Office 365, Azure, Intune\SCCM • Understanding of virtualization concepts, specifically revolving around VMware and Azure • Knowledge of Remote Desktop Services and Citrix Xenapp • IP/networking skills along with LAN/WAN experience • Familiarity with HP server environment • Knowledge of Rubrik Polaris & Veeam Backup and Replication. • Experience in defining and documenting policies and procedures as they relate to IT operations. • Knowledge of MS Office Products. • Familiarization with SAML/SSO concepts. • An inclination to be "Security Minded."
