Job Description:
Epic Life Family Care Homes (ELFCH) supports adults with special needs and IDD diagnosis. ELFCH is seeking Full Time/Part Time Residential Care Technicians (RCT) to provide community and residential based services for people with special needs at our Greensboro Group home. RCTs live in group home 4;3 biweekly schedule.
Your duties will include travel within the community for social events, medication administration, meal prepping, bathing clients, light house keeping, and documentation.
Job Responsibilities:
This position is a LIVE-IN POSITION
Schedule
Week one: Mon- Wed-Fri Sat
Week Two: Sun-Tues-Thurs
Spend time with the consumer as they engage in activities, such as meal prep, cleaning house, and medication administration.
Help the consumer with his/her goals and objectives, including an interest in video games and board games.
Plan shopping trips, educational classes and recreational activities that are in line with the consumer’s interests
Help individuals to be as independent as possible with activities of daily living and assist them as necessary.
RCTs may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals on outings in the community or providing transportation to work or other activities.

Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent
Must be minimum 18 years of age
Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance
Need to be willing to provide transportation to individuals with disabilities in your own personal vehicle
Must be willing work for at least 3 months (to qualify for benefits)
Six months of experience in human services preferred
Successful clearance of local and/or state background checks and a drug screen
