Moving Company Warehouse Supervisor
ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Receives instructions from GM
Receives Customer requirements from office staff
Role model - including following all company policies and procedures
Promotes teamwork
Must be able to read, understand, implement, and effectively train others on policies and procedures, standard operating procedures, and work instructions clearly and effectively for areas of operations, safety and administration.
Effectively guides conflict resolution
Supervise and coordinate unloading of inbound shipments, orderly stacking of product, and the picking and staging of outbound shipments in accordance with the highest levels of productivity
Ensures that all documents relating to shipments and receipts are filled out completely and correctly by the carriers and warehouse personnel
Ensures inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage
Maintains a clean, neat, and orderly warehouse including outside grounds
Conducts operations in accordance with OSHA, D.O.T. and company policies
Completes all necessary reports in a timely and accurate fashion
Fills in for other positions as necessary
Participates in meetings
Operates equipment in a safe manner and keeps work area clean
Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High School or GED
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Effective leadership skills as demonstrated by current or past experience
2 years of proven warehouse work experience
Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills
Experience operating material handling equipment (Forklift, Reach Truck, Pallet Jack, Order Picker)
Able to lift objects up to 50 pounds on a regular basis
Must have valid drivers license
