Job Summary:

Signature Consultants is seeking a Devops, Jenkins & uDeploy for an opportunity with one of our clients. The position will be remote /onsite after COVID - with locations set as either: Phoenix, AZ; San Francisco, CA; Des Moines, IA; Chicago, IL; Minneapolis, MN; St. Louis, MO; Raleigh, NC; New York, NY; Philadelphia, PA; Dallas, TX (remote until post Covid-19).

We will be needing 6 DevOps resources for a six-month project that is focused on moving applications from one Jenkins build master to another with the goal of balancing capacity on the build farm. Today we have some Jenkins build masters with twice or 3-times the vendor recommended maximum number of jobs running on them. By balancing the jobs across our build masters, it will allow for better utilization of resources, lessening server load, increased capacity and potentially quicker build times for app teams. In addition to this work, we anticipate that there will be enough down time between app moves to assist with our BAU and/or Migration ticketing work that we are currently handling. The ideal candidate should be a junior to mid-level DevOps engineer whose primary job is to do the build master migration work, but can assist with tickets on their down time.

Requirements:

3+ years of uDeploy experience
2+ years of Jenkins pipeline experience
Strong Maven and/or Gradle knowledge
Artifactory experience
Git/GitHub experience

Desired:

Knowledge and understanding of DevOps principles
2 + years of .Net and Java application development experience or a combination of both
Knowledge and understanding of Node.js and Grunt
Agile experience
Experience supporting technology at an enterprise-level
Ability to interact effectively at varying levels of the business and technical organizations; including senior management
Strong team or technical leadership experience
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Other Desired:

Experience with security and code quality scanning tools like SonarQube, Fortify, BlackDuck and/or Checkmarx
Enterprise experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and Build engineering using various other tools not specifically mentioned
Knowledge and understanding of package management using tools like NUGET, NPM, Maven, etc.
2+ years of Python experience
