Principle Software Engineer for Global Automotive Company in North Carolina

Summary:Bring hardware and software connectivity technologies into our mobility products to enhance business potential with this innovative, globally known automotive company. Your work will primarily be with autonomous work vehicles including all components used to map a location and the controller. This is a creative environment developing process for control. You will be expected to oversee and lead the associated development activities for several projects while guiding and developing others as technical experts.

Responsibilities:· Work with GPS and GMSS technologies, autonomous technology, and autonomous robotics to control and configure them, create a map and provide feedback.· You will be expected to lead the most technical aspects of this team’s projects· Integration of controllability vision, GPS, and overall electric drive system components· Software Development, lead the development of existing and new complex software based on pertinent specifications and logic to meet the division's objectives· Field Mapping, lead activity of collecting field shape, obstacles, and create map for autonomous operations, measure map plan vs. actual tracking of autonomous products· Software and System Testing; oversee the software testing process from a position of expertise and leadership as well as actual autonomous machine testing, mechanical, electrical, software, and system.

Required Skillset:· 5+ years engineering and electrical system design including ECU· 5+ years engineering experience related to software coding for C· 3+ years of leadership experience planning and managing resources to deliver including overseeing project results (cost, schedule, specifications, product quality, etc.).· Knowledge of ROS· BS in Computer Science, IT, Electrical Engineering or equivalent in Engineering Sciences

Bonus Skillset:· Experience with C, Python and/ or Linux

Duration: 24 months
