The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for engineering, securing, documenting, and deploying enterprise VMware Horizon View Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments. Candidate must have strong experience with engineering and troubleshooting VDI desktop images, application of security controls (STIGs, IAVAs), maintenance of desktop pools, and managing user profile data. Candidate will have a firm understanding of VMware's high availability and disaster recovery feature sets with the ability to design resilient solutions. Candidate must possess developed written and verbal communication skills to effectively work with colleagues, drive innovation, and communicate with fellow team members, colleagues, management, and customer leadership.

Role:
  • Maintain advanced knowledge of administration, engineering, and implementation of virtual desktop infrastructure-related technologies.
  • Zone and provision storage solutions for a virtualized environment to handle user profile data, configuration replication, and backups.
  • Engineer highly available and fault tolerant solutions.
  • Design, configure and implement VDI solutions based upon the customer's performance criteria and specifications
  • Conduct systems pre-test and acceptance tests to validate the designed performance criteria
  • Structure mock designs based upon RFP specifications in support of the Bids & Proposal teams
  • Collaborate with government and /or subcontractors at customer site for VDI solution integration into existing infrastructure

Skills and Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of risk assessment tools, technologies, and methods
  • Experience designing secure networks, systems, and application architectures
  • Experience planning, researching, and developing security policies, standards, and procedures
  • Experience designing and implementing Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) Multi-Site Connectivity Capability Package desired
  • Proficient in Microsoft software applications and other software applications as required, including Microsoft SharePoint
  • Systems integration and lab experience desired
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Good oral and written communications skills
  • Experience in using drawing tools such as Microsoft Visio or AutoCAD is desired
  • Desired Certifications: VCP, MCSA, Security+
