Our commitment to our colleagues across the globe is to provide the resources and opportunities they need to make a difference in our world while building a fulfilling career with us.Location/Division Specific InformationPharmaceutical Services Group/ Soft Gel / Mon-Fri / Day ShiftDiscover Impactful Work:Performs testing and results documentation of any of the following: Raw Materials, In-Process, Finished Product, Stability, Technical Service samples or projects within the QC Chemistry or Microbiology Laboratory, in a manner consistent with established standards.A day in the Life:Perform core techniques or methods as assigned for testing on raw materials, in-process, release, stability, environmental or technical service samples or projects as assigned.

Handles analytical instrumentation such as HPLC and GC. Ensure that the calibration of critical laboratory equipment meet the standards.

Perform daily verifications of instruments such as balances, pH meters and IR as required by work instructions.

Performs standardizations of volumetric/titrimetric solutions, and prepares dissolution media and HPLC mobile phase, among other solutions including microbiological solutions.

Prepare media, collect purified water for testing and use the Autoclave for waste disposal.

Clean and organize all laboratory areas including bench, sinks, drawers, cabinets, solvent cabinets, fume hoods, refrigerators, freezers, desiccators and storage areas.

Occasionally clean laboratory pipettes and other glassware.

Maintain laboratory instruments disposing of wastes, cleaning them and replacing consumable parts as the need arises.

Dispose of solvent, acids and other wastes according to procedures and local regulations. Clean HPLC and dissolution systems after use.

Education/ExperienceBachelor’s Degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biology, Biochemistry or related field with 3 to 5 years of related experience in an analytical laboratory setting with experience with raw materials, preferably in a Quality Control Laboratory in a GMP facility.Knowledge, Skills, AbilitiesKnowledge and understanding of Chemistry and analytical instrumental technologies (HPLC, Empower).

Acts as point of contact and owner of all of compendial process including interactions with global (e.g., USP and EP) and national pharmacopoeia.

Awareness of quality and regulatory requirements in the pharmaceutical industry, including pharmaceutical GMPs and descriptive organic chemistry.

Good problem-solving skills and logical approach to solving scientific problems.

Knowledge of methods development approaches, analytical validations, quality control statistics, documentation and adherence to SOPs.

Ability to write quality technical reports and delivers effective oral presentations.

Ability to optimally collaborate with others to achieve team goals and expectations.

Computer literate (Microsoft Office, SAP, Trackwise, among others)
