Job Summary:

Stanley Black & Decker is seeking a strong Program Manager for their power tool accessories division. In this role, you will provide leadership to internal and external cross-functional project teamsthat develop new products in the tools industry.As the Program Manager you will be responsibleto manage a global development cross-functional teamtodevelopand launchinnovative product solutions that meet cost,scheduleand scope requirements.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Independently leadsmultipleprojects under remote supervision for programsranging from highly complex multi-national launches to low complexityprojects constrained by accelerated customer needs
  • Responsible to ensure all business functions are engaged and delivering: The CEO of the project
  • Follows standardized guidelines and templates to ensure robust project plans as required by the NPD process
  • Communicates project status and team obstaclespaired with mitigation plansto upper management and other stakeholders in a clear and concise fashion
  • Applies existing strategies to balance the elements of time, cost, quality, scope,riskand resources
  • Identifies, monitors, and proactively responds to project risk
  • Manages scope changes and ensures complete supporting analysis
  • Ensures project outputs are consistently high-quality deliverables, on time and within budget to all business objectives
  • Builds supplier relationshipsin order tocollaborate effectively
  • Identifies,negotiatesand supports the resolution of issues within and between various project teams and/or stake holders
  • Identifies and manages project dependencies and critical path to achieve launch deadlines
  • Defines project success criteria and continually monitors progress throughout project life cycle while reporting out to relevant team members and leadership
  • Partners with appropriate functional leaders to manage resources for projects
  • Looks after the interests of the project team. Maintains documentation as required by the Milestone process
  • Supports assignments outside of new product development as required
  • Keeps End User CTQs top priority throughout projects and maintains an appropriate balance between profit & quality objectives
  • Coach/train project team resources in the discipline of project management
  • Actively support Stanley's EEO initiatives to ensure fair and equitable treatment of all applications and employees
  • Performs duties and responsibilities as described in the quality systems
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager to support departmental goals
  • Participates in continuous improvement initiatives including formulating policy and developing and implementing new strategies and procedures
  • Stimulate new ideas within the organization, ability to take risks on new and unusual ideas
  • Understand, promote, and lead corporate team initiatives
  • Ability to travel 10-15% domestically and internationally to oversee critical activities for programs
Ideal Candidate Profile:

Required:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations or similar(technical)field
  • Experience in new product developmentusing a stage-gate system and/or agile methods
  • Fully fluent in English and possess excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Ability to effectively communicate with and support the needs of executive leadership
  • Demonstrates a track record of project management successes and lessons learned
  • Exceptional attention to detail with regards to notes / actions, follow-up, and issue tracking
  • 3-5 Years of experience in a technical functional role (Design Engineering, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Black Belt, or Operations preferred)
  • 3+ years of experience in project management or leading projects
  • Proven ability to facilitate relations between business groups and technology departments
  • Demonstrated familiarity with structured project management methodologies (e.g., Critical Path)
  • Demonstrates understanding of manufacturing processes and production planning
  • Demonstrates a personal connection with tools users and their passion for innovative products and quality craftsmanship expected in Stanley Black & Decker products
  • Proficient in project management tools such as Microsoft Project and Smartsheet
  • Highly proficient with technology for meeting collaboration (Video Conferencing, Zoom,Microsoft Teams) and Microsoft Office applications (Teams,Word, Excel, Power Point, SharePoint)
  • Uses a systematic approach to identify problems, conduct root-cause analysis, and implement solutions
  • Possesses business financial knowledge and familiar with project P&L statements
  • Possesses influencing skills (leads by example, clearly articulates business cases and interpretation of cause-effect impact)
  • Develops and maintains constructive and cooperative working relationships with peers and superiors
  • Highly effective organization and planning skills
  • Ability to scope and size work effortsto the appropriate level of detail for success
  • Exhibitsstrongself-confidence and appropriately demonstrates dominance expected of a team leader
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate and influence cross functional partners to achieve exceptional results
Preferred:
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP)®
  • Certified ScrumMaster (CSM)®
  • Durable Consumer products industry experience desired, preferably in the Tools industry.
  • SAP knowledge preferred
