Who We Are Looking For:Stanley's Global Operations team is currently hiring an IT/OT Support Engineerto provide hands on support of the development and implementation of Industry 4.0 readiness and critical applications and assists in the management of internal and external partners.

The Lean-Led, Tech-Enabled, Data-Driven Operations Technology organization drives the digital transformation through supporting end to end smart manufacturing solutions, integrated across functions of the business. The team applies industry-leading methodologies and practices to enhance business processes. Furthermore, we are responsible for developing and implementing the technology roadmap to transform our manufacturing operations and meet business unit objectives. Co-located at our manufacturing locations in order to develop a deep understanding of local manufacturing processes, these roles spearhead projects at the plant level, introducing and implementing technologies such as IIoT, Advanced Analytics, automation, robotics, and many other innovative Advanced Manufacturing technologies. This team is at the forefront of understanding and implementing state of the art manufacturing technologies into the manufacturing world of Stanley Black & Decker.

Successful candidates will be innovative thinkers who can both understand new technology in manufacturing and be able to look at true capability and identify the right place to implement it, will be great communicators that can work across diverse teams inside and outside the business, and will possess the ability to think outside of the box and embrace change.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Partner with users to define and analyze problems and align the most suitable technical, application, or configuration solutions.
  • Consider the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment.
  • He / she will capture evaluate, analyze, and document requirements translating them into proper system requirements, specifications and support plans.
  • Conduct process analyses, needs assessments, to align information technology solutions with Industry 4.0 / OT-related initiatives.
  • Solicit, develop, document and manage requirements and provide detailed support and business rules to support the requirements throughout the project life cycle up to and through change control.
  • Partner with end user to select or create appropriate scenarios to test all results to determine whether system changes met project specifications; uses scenarios to assist the end user in acceptance testing and Review system test plans and system tests modules before implementation.
  • Create, review and deliver documentation (Operational Support Plans, process flow charts, etc.)
  • In upgrade, monitor production performance enhancements and system integrity with end-users.
  • Ensure that documentation is updated when change requests are approved for the project.
  • Provide input on processes, procedures, or new approaches.
  • Formulate and define systems support and objectives based on both end-user needs and a thorough understanding of Industry 4.0 systems, applications, and industry requirements.
  • Teach end users new technology and enhancements using all appropriate communication tools as well as provide support for existing systems.
  • Support Industry 4.0 applications: Overall Equipment Effectiveness, Manufacturing Execution Systems, Automation, Maintenance and Quality Systems.
Qualifications:
  • At least 3 years of experience in:
    • Manufacturing operations researching, understanding and implementing IT/OT best practices to manufacturing environments for Shop Floor Systems.
    • Managing OPC Servers (Kepware), PLC programming experience (Allen Bradley, Siemens, etc.), drives, robots/cobots, sensors, etc.
    • Experience in Distribution Operations support such as robotics/conveyance, AMR/AGV
  • At least 3 years of experience inoneof the following areas
    • Windows or Linux Virtual Machines / Servers; troubleshooting and support - Virtualized (VMWare) VSAN; Backup and Disaster Recovery: analyze systems utilization; identify and respond effectively to anomaly conditions; System analysis
    • Industrial Control Systems / Scada Collection / communication protocols such as OPC UA, Ethernet IP, Modbus TCPIP, UDP, DNP3, , PROFINET, etc.
    • Network infrastructure and protocols; VLan / Lan / Wan / WiFi / industrial ethernet switches and respond effectively to business requirements to deploy devices
    • Security: Architecture; Active Directory; Firewall policies and protocols: Risk Assessment; countermeasures; security levels pertaining to ISAIEC 62443
  • Highly resourceful team-player, with the ability to also be effective independently
  • Able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Forward looking thinker, who actively seeks opportunities and proposes solutions
  • Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in Engineering, Information Technology, or related discipline.
