Job Description
As a Full Charge Accountant, you will be responsible for multiple clients. The ideal applicant must be able to receive raw data and be able to prepare year-end closeout, possess a strong work ethic, excellent client communication skills and the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
- W2s & 1099 reporting
- Enter and classify client data
- Handle routine client questions
- Prepare bank and credit card reconciliations
- Utilize QuickBooks with ability to train clients
- Fixed Asset Tracking
- Prepare financial statements for CPA review
- Prepare journal entries for month and year-end close
- Prepare Payroll, Sales & Use Tax Returns, Property Tax Returns
- Assisting with ad-hoc projects & Tax Return preparations as needed
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred, but candidates with strong equivalent experience will be considered
- 3+ yrs of full charge public accounting experience with a strong knowledge of Quickbooks
- High degree of professionalism and trustconfidentiality is a must!
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to work with clients and coworkers
- Knowledge/experience with preparing quarterly tax estimates is a plus
- Experience with data entry, record keeping, and computer operation
- Organizational skills, attention to detail and time-management skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Comfortable working on multiple open projects and clients at one time
- Willingness and ability to work extra hours, if necessary
- Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet and Windows operating systems
- Proficient with QuickBooks (Desktop and Online). Experience with Practice CS is a plus
- Energized professional with a client first mentality
- Ability to accept constructive criticism and immediately apply
- Positive, team-oriented mindset
