Location: Monroe, NC Description: Our client is currently seeking a IFS IT Business analyst
Principal ActivitiesElicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, and workflow analysis.Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs.Proactively communicate and collaborate with external and internal customers to analyze information needs and functional requirements and deliver the following artifacts as needed: (Functional requirements and Business Requirements Document), Use Cases, GUI, Screen and Interface designs).Utilize your experience in using enterprise-wide requirements definition and management systems and methodologies required.Successfully engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously.Work independently with users to define concepts and under direction of project managers.Strong analytical and product management skills required, including a thorough understanding of how to interpret customer business needs and translate them into application and operational requirements.Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group, managers, and subject matter experts.Serves as the conduit between the customer community (internal and external customers) and the software development team through which requirements flow. In some cases, may be the developer.Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates, using natural language.Be the liaison between the business units, technology teams and support teams.Determines best use of ERP systems to support business practices and other best practice techniques.Defines and participates in analysis of interface to ERP and other integrated systems.Manage projects for lean manufacturing and enterprise IT deliverables in a timely manner to meet deadlines.Ensure current and accurate system documentation, coordinate and or perform testing of system modifications, and develop, provide, or coordinate system training, educational tools and materials.Build your knowledge of other information systems and be able to speak to their capabilities in the context of our businesses.Test updates and new versions of software for compatibility with Company environment.Lead or participate in cross-functional teams to address business or systems issues.Supports the local ERP system and user base.Knowledge Skills & AbilitiesManage multiple priorities; both independently and as a team player.Be an independent problem solver with the ability to creatively translate business requirements into technical solutions.Have outstanding written and verbal communication skills.Anticipate change and quickly prioritize accordingly.Be able to make decisions under uncertainty.Show a strong ability to solve problems creatively, thru innovation & process re-engineering.Have demonstrated interpersonal skills: ability to establish confidence, rapport and foster cooperative relationships with clients and coworkers.Be friendly, empathetic, and professional even under stressful circumstances and tight timelines.Strong skills in MS Office Suite.Project Management skills.Education & Experience4+ years of IT experience in or supporting a manufacturing environment.4 year degree in IT or related field.Solid experience with an ERP system and related business processes, preferable IFS v7.Contact: This job and many more are available through The Judge Group.
