This position is a 12 month contract that has the option of being fully remote, hybrid or onsite (Located in Morrisville, NC). PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU ARE IN THE EASTERN OR CENTRAL TIME ZONERESPONSIBILITIESMember of the engineering team, the Database Administrator/Developer shall primarily be responsible for the database function, design, and support of the information product. Will be responsible for:
- Developing and updating database triggers, procedures, and functions.
- Planning, development and troubleshooting of medical information system databases.
- Database design within the parameters established for a given project.
- Working with application developers to create SQL scripts for database changes and updates.
- Communicating regularly with technical, applications and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security.
- Migrating data from text files and external sources into application databases.
- Basic database administration
- BS or BE in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of experience that must include:
- Language/environment knowledge:
- Strong software development discipline.
- MS in Computer Science
- Experience in the healthcare industry, especially hospital informatics, RIS or PACS.
