About This Opportunity This Senior Financial Data Analyst plays a key support role. This individual will support and play an integral part in advising them on how to meet financial objectives while delivering optimal results.Our rapidly growing company requires a highly motivated individual who has strong analytical skills and great business acumen. In this role, you will…
  • Provide financial data and support Trading applications, able to read wired and trade numbers and perform data analysis.
  • Perform regular general ledger and period end closing responsibilities including, but not limited to, journal entries, review of expenses and accruals, account reconciliations, and other variance analysis.
  • Lead monthly budget/forecast vs actual report preparation and reviews with senior leadership
  • Improve financial outcomes by analyzing results, monthly variances, identifying trends and recommending actions to management
  • Be a trusted business partner and develop complex models for projects as part of a cross-functional team to support strategic initiatives
  • Drive enhancements to reporting and planning capabilities, leading cross-functional initiatives to continuously improve and automate financial operations and controls

In this role, you’ll need …
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other quantitative field or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of relevant Finance experience (IB preferred)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Advanced Data-based Financial Modelling Skills
  • Ability to work with large financial and sales-related datasets

Nice to have
  • Experience with SQL, MS Analysis Services, PowerBI is a plus
  • Strong communication and presentation skills required
  • Ability to work on complex issues and perform in-depth evaluations
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
  • Problem solver, detailed oriented and strong analytical skills, especially dealing with large volumes of data
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects and manage time effectively
  • Strong documentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal & leadership skills
