Habitat for Humanity is hiring individuals to serve full time for 10 months to help rebuild/repair homes affected by Hurricane Florence. Individuals begin August 2019 and serve until May 2020. Individuals will serve as AmeriCorps members and receive the following:

— $1,372 monthly stipend

— Free limited health care

— Child care assistance

— $5,920 Education award which can be used for student loans, college tuition or continuing education, or can be gifted to a child or grandchild!

We are especially interested in working with retirees!

As a Project Lead, you are the volunteers main point of on-site contact and actively lead the construction efforts on clients homes. You will be responsible for training and managing volunteers, monitoring safety, ensuring quality work, effectively participating in construction, and completing tasks on schedule.

As a Construction Coordinator, you ensure construction sites are provided and tracked with necessary tools and materials on time and accurately so that Project Managers and Site Supervisors have what they need when they need it. Construction Coordinators schedule inspections with the building department and funders as needed for projects.

As a Supply & Logistics Coordinator, you ensure construction sites are provided with the necessary tools and materials on time and accurately. Supply & Logistics Coordinators efficiently procure materials, prepare and deliver orders, and schedule pick-ups for each job site with a keen focus on accuracy. They work closely with vendors to procure necessary materials and keep the warehouse organized, stocked and clean of debris and clutter.
