MAINTENANCE JOB DESCRIPTION
responsible for the preventive maintenance of hotel guest rooms, public spaces and all related equipment, following company and brand standards, to ensure high standards of maintenance and guest satisfaction.
MAINTENANCE SKILLS
-maintain work order system, as well as completing work orders in a timely fashion
work with Chief Engineer and Management team to identify and accomplish all technical and skilled related projects, including but not limited to:
-guest room repair issues
-assist in the monitoring of hotel key control system
- carper repair, floor and tile
-furniture repair
-basic plumbing
-basic electrical
-painting, minor roof repairs, and other exterior projects
-pool and exercise room equipment repairs
-complete guest room checklist as scheduled
-report completed guest room care maintenance to Chief Engineer
-maintain current inventory of parts and materials
-participate in the keeping of maintenance work order log
- check exterior grounds, fences, lighting for upkeep requirement as needed
-preventive maintenance of HVAC
-pool maintenance procedures
-check smoke alarms on a regular schedule
-carry out any reasonable request courteously and politely
-checking in with front desk on shift arrival and also before departure to ensure there are no outstanding maintenance requests
-attend safety committee meetings when scheduled
TECHNICAL SKILLS : able to work independently with minimum supervision; able to communicate effectively both written and verbal, able to communicate effectively with other associates, as well as guest; able and willing to respond to emergency situations on short notice; must comply with all department, hotel and corporate standard operating procedures; responsible for knowing hotel emergency procedures.
REQUIREMENTS:
-2 years experience
-fluent in written and verbal English
-safely lift up to 50 lbs without assistance
high school or equivalent
-work authorization - required
must be flexible - day shifts , night shifts, weekends and holidays
