Job Description: THIS IS A TEMP TO PERM POSITION. After the initial contract engagement the manager would like to hire the contractor full time. Wake Tech Community College is not able to offer sponsorship for the full time role. Only candidates available to work full time without sponsorship will be considered for this position.Candidates will be allowed to work remotely. Preference will be given to candidates located in NC. Position DescriptionThis position will be responsible for designing and architecting service delivery strategies for the suite of tools and applications within the Microsoft Office 365 landscape. This position will drive user adoption by identifying, researching, recommending, and implementing Office 365 solutions and applications which support Wake Tech's current and future overall organizational vision and strategies. Responsibilities and Duties (Essential Functions)To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the essential job functions satisfactorily. Identifies, researches, recommends, architects, and implements Office 365 solutions and applications such as Teams, Flow, PowerApps, OneDrive, Forms, Bookings, SharePoint, etc. Serves as an ITS point of contact regarding new requests related to Microsoft applications and solutions to meet business needs Provides and applies modern SharePoint (SP) framework (SPFx), Power Automate/Flow, PowerApps/Forms, Power BI, and Azure subject matter expertise to automate and upgrade complex enterprise-level business processes Assesses and evaluates existing SharePoint solutions, technical architecture, and workflows to architect more robust modern technologies such as Power Platform Administers Microsoft Sharepoint including adding users, controlling access to document libraries, setting permissions, etc. Troubleshoots and resolves SharePoint issues or malfunctions. Conducts workshops with customers to inform and leverage best practices of Office 365 applications including SharePoint Online and Power Platform technologies Develops, maintains, and updates Office 365 governance documentation Provides second level support services to staff, faculty and students for complex, technical and configuration issues related to Office 365 applications Implements compliance and enforces ownership of applications and site content with stakeholders Develops and maintains scripts used to manage/support the Office 365 environment for multiple applications Partners with ITS and other workgroups to ensure appropriate architecture for integration and testing of applications that support Office 365 solutions Manages Office 365 security administration in collaboration with the Cybersecurity team Responds to emergency situations as needed, during and after normal business hours, to identify, assess and mitigate critical operational issues Stays current on Office 365 changes, updates and new Microsoft releases for Office 365 and related products Provides system support and maintains uptime as defined within the IT acceptable standards Works with Enterprise Application Services manager to understand client priorities, assigned project responsibilities, and keep projects on schedule Develops proofs of concept, prototypes, and other artifacts to implement functionality from request to implementation to support to enhancement Defines requirements and scope for project implementations Ensures effective use of existing applications and architects new solutions on time and with high quality Performs application maintenance, e.g. system parameters, user permissions, etc. Ensures compliance with license agreements and provide input to the College’s Microsoft Enterprise Agreement and other Microsoft applications Provides training to ITS support staff on O365 applications to address Help Desk calls; also provides needed training on O365 applications to end users in conjunction with project related implementations Identifies, researches, recommends, architects, and implements Microsoft applications that may be needed outside of the Office 365 suite Completes an annual applied benchmark project on an individual or group basis as required. QualificationsKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities Working knowledge of Microsoft Sharepoint, Microsoft PowerApps, Power Automate, InfoPath 2013, SharePoint Designer Workflow 2013, or other web-based forms and workflow is required. Project management knowledge to support implementing and maintaining Office 365 solutions that focus on workflow, document management, and content creation for web-focused business teams. Possess strong communication and documentation skills. Demonstrated focus on customer service skills and ability to communicate clearly and effectively to a wide variety of audiences. Knowledge of the development of technical and user documentation. Advanced scripting and development skills using PowerShell. Ability to multi-task and set priorities within tight timelines and high client expectations. Strong analytical, project management, customer service, and team-oriented interpersonal skills. Critical thinking and problem determination skills Knowledge of programming languages and relational databases. Knowledge of Microsoft Security using Active Directory, Azure AD, and Office 365 Online groups. Knowledge of Windows Operating Systems, Microsoft SQL, Microsoft IIS, Microsoft Internet Explorer, and network concepts. Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and web-browsers Self-starter with ability to work independently or as part of a project team. Ability to identify deficient processes/procedures and assist in the development and implementation of solutions. Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality. Demonstrated ability to communicate with all levels of internal and external staff, and management. Minimum Requirements Associates Degree Three years' experience in Information Technologies, or another related area with experience architecting, implementing, and supporting Office 365 applications Preferences Associate Degree in an IT related field Five years' experience in Information Technologies, or another related area with experience supporting Office 365 applications in a higher education environment. Experience with one or more Microsoft Platform Certifications (Power Platform Developer Associate, Azure Developer Associate, Microsoft 365 Certified: Developer Associate)
