Piper Companies is seeking an
AWS Cloud DevOps Engineer to join a leading financial services organization based in Raleigh, NC . The AWS Cloud DevOps Engineer will support the overall technology strategy and architecture around how the public cloud environment is managed. This position will be Hybrid (onsite Tuesday-Thursday). Responsibilities of AWS Cloud DevOps Engineer include:- Collaborate with software and cloud engineers and business teams to support our technology strategy and architecture
- Manage the operational aspects of our public cloud environment
- Manage terraform, working with development teams to create new support tools and improve existing products with new technologies and solutions
- Play a hands-on development and design role in a rapid and dynamic environment
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our public cloud environment
- Automate infrastructure build scripts and deployment processes using AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, Jenkins, and other tools
- 5+ years of experience developing automated infrastructure build scripts within an AWS Cloud computing environment
- Experience with containerized environments like Docker, Kubernetes, ECS, Fargate etc.
- Experience with open-source technologies and infrastructure as code technologies like Terraform, Cloudformation etc.
- Strong understanding of AWS services such as EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, API Gateway, etc.
- Experience with Git, JavaScript, Shell scripting, Python, and Java
- Experience with building and maintaining infrastructure in a production environment
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
- Salary Range: $125,000 - $135,000 - Hourly Pay: $55/hr - $65/hr depending on seniority
