Job Description:
  • Active Directory Server Integration — base operating systems, software distribution, security settings, updates, and level three problem management support.
  • Active Directory — should include replication management and troubleshooting and in-depth knowledge of Active Directory Sites and Services. In-depth knowledge of and experience with all aspects of Active Directory Users and Computers, particularly

    group management and permission delegation.
  • Diagnosis and troubleshooting domain controllers in multiple AD forests and domains and a well-developed understanding of a multi-forest; multi-domain; multi-site distributed directory services environment.
  • Knowledge of DNS concepts and identifying problems and solutions with that technology. To also include design and implementation, group policies, security groups, GPO, PKI, user and computer objects, logon authentication, scripts, replication, forest and domains, release management, production, user/account provisioning, LDAP/application support and third level problem management support.
  • Remote Management — Active Directory engineering and redesign of remote management tools especially third level problem management support.
  • Program language knowledge of

    PowerShell is essential, experience in VBS, C, Perl, and JAVA

    a PLUS.
  • Problem solving skills outside the normal, day-to-day IT operational challenges. Able to patiently and extensively research solutions and collaborate with peers in formulating timely solutions to complex, one-of-a-kind problems.
  • Ability to design, install, implement, support, and troubleshoot Microsoft’s BackOffice, Windows server, Exchange server, Internet Information Server (IIS), Microsoft SQL server, Content Replication, Internet News, NetMeeting, Terminal Server, Site Server, Remote Access Server, DHCP, WINS, and DNS.
  • Demonstrated experience with hardware and software testing, integration, installation, configuration, and problem solving; especially for Windows 10 clients and Windows Server, and Microsoft Office
  • Active Directory Server Integration — base operating systems, software distribution, security settings, updates, and level three problem management support.
  • Ability to

    design, install, implement, support, and troubleshoot Microsoft’s BackOffice, Windows server, Exchange server, Internet Information Server (IIS), Microsoft SQL server, Content Replication, Internet News, and NetMeeting.
  • Six years of experience progressively working with the more difficult aspects of Windows with four (4) years’ experience in planning, architecting, developing, testing, and implementing PC LANs.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to formulate and document proposed LAN system and operating system solutions with comprehensive, quantitative, and qualitative terms appropriate for comparative analysis, Terminal Server, Site Server, Remote Access Server, DHCP, WINS, and DNS.
  • Other Windows related Engineering activities as requested by USPS from time to time during the Period of Performance.
