Job Description:

The Initial Margin (IM) Calculator is a regulatory application responsible for calculating regulatory IM according to BCBS IOSCO rules; it comprises a set of batch processes, a SQL Server DB and a GUI application. The application is supported by a global team (London, Poland, India, US) and stakeholders include the Front Office Counterparty Portfolio Management team, Margin Services and Credit Risk. This role involves the following activities:
  • Working with business stakeholders to define and document requirements to resolve business issues or enable business opportunities
  • Functional design of solutions so that they meet the business requirements. This could include sourcing data from other systems, changes to processing logic, generating reports or feeds or new screens in our GUI application
  • Creation and obtaining sign off of functional specification documents that clearly and concisely explain the system scope, assumptions, risks, dependencies, constraints, functional design and non-functional requirements.
  • Working with Development and QA to ensure they fully understand the requirements and functional design
  • Reviewing test cases and supporting testing
  • Agreeing and documenting OLAs
  • Knowledge management – updating the team wiki and providing training\user guides to the relevant business users and\or support teams
