Our work depends on Database Administrator/Developer Sr joining our team to support the DevOps team, including Reporting & Analytics, for enterprise data distributions and updates, back-end database support for operational retail data as well as non-production environmental data, and front-end interfaces for all RSO hosted reports and dashboards for the RSS PMO as well as reporting and analytic activities in connection with the system health and software currency of the RSS application.HOW A SENIOR DATABASE ADMINISTRATOR/DEVELOPER WILL MAKE AN IMPACT:- Provide reporting assistance with data mining
- Perform ServiceNow Incident & Change Management implementation
- Creation and maintenance of data feeds for dashboards
- Provide Program Management Office (PMO) with various reports and metrics
- Support pricing & business rules for USPS for RSS systems
- Payment Card Industry (PCI) data collection
- Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science- preferred
- A minimum of 10 years work experience
- 3-5 years of related experience in the following:
- Perform Oracle database Extract, Translate, and Load (ETL) processes to facilitate monitoring and reporting functions.
- Support Oracle databases and stored procedures.
- Provide Web Tools for end users.
- Support interfaces for data updates from data stewards.
- Validate interface data according to data specifications.
- Manage USPS-specific 12-digit bar codes for Postal products.
- Provide programming support to reboot terminals when necessary.
- Provide programming support to continuously retrieve the health of the 66 Production RSS/RS-SS application servers and provide data feeds to the monitoring dashboards.
- Provide programming support to retrieve software installation and registry information from 48,000+ terminals and devices in the field to determine software currency.
- Send dashboard alerts when critical infrastructure is in alarm status.
- Manage interfaces between the terminal ordering system and the monitoring/reporting system to keep a current inventory of systems in the field.
- Provide monthly, or upon request, key performance metrics based on established deliverables.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance
- The security clearance for this program requires the selected candidate to have resided in the US for the past five years. The selected candidate cannot have left the country for longer than 90 consecutive days and no more than 180 cumulative days.
- DevOps Support activities require experience with:
- Microsoft Operating Systems, Web Development, C#, ReST APIs, bootstrapping, Oracle DB, Point-of-Sale hardware, and software
- Work location will be at client offices in Raleigh, NC or REMOTE work will be considered. Work schedule is generally M-F 8am-5pmET, with occasional off-hours/weekend support, on premise or remote as deemed necessary
