- 8-10+ years prior experience in a network engineering position, with heavy network engineering experience including Palo Alto firewalls, router, switches, WAN service providers and technologies, wireless networking, and routing protocols, especially BGP and OSPF.
- Possesses experience in implementing established solutions to support the effective operations of an element(s) of the infrastructure.
- Technical expertise in Palo Alto Firewalls, IP networks, IP routing and switching, layer 2 protocols, network troubleshooting including packet tracing, BGP, OSPF, 802.11 wireless technologies, WAN circuit technologies.
- Ability to quickly learn new or unfamiliar technology and products using documentation and internet resources.
- Ability to work with all levels of staff within and outside of IT and outside the organization.
- A self-starter able to work independently but comfortable working in a team environment.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Dependable and flexible when necessary.
- Network security (Firewall, SEIM and proxy) experience.
- Multi Cloud experience
- SDWAN and ACI knowledge
