Short Description: Perform standard project management related tasks on projects including but not limited to development and management of project plans, resource management, costs estimate, schedule, scope, communication plans, risk/issue management, vendor work progress management, and lessons learned. Analyse business requirements and project justification where needed. Develop and manage a detailed project schedule and work plan, as well as provide status reports on project progression. Coordinate project team members and develop schedules and individual responsibilities. Create presentations and communications for IT executives, business leads and other staff. Track deadlines and schedule and manage deliverable completeness to ensure project success. Organize meetings to discuss project goals and progress.

Responsibilities:
  • Responsibility for the successful completion of end to end project work, including all work products.
  • Oversight of projects comprised of multiple deliverables, including delegation and coordination of tasks.
  • Responsibility for creation and management of the integrated project plan, execution of the project plan, project status, meetings, scope changes, risk and issue tracking/mitigation, coordination across project teams, etc.
  • Negotiations internal and external to the project teams.
  • Managing scope, resources, timelines, costs/budget, quality, communication, and procurements to meet the goals of the State.
  • Development and execution of training and education on standard project management requirements and methods, facilitating project governance and reporting, and creating models to improve business decisions.
  • Efforts typically include extensive changes to existing functionality or the implementation of new applications and/or technology.

Required Skills/ Experience/ Education:
  • 7 Years’ Experience managing projects by working with both business and IT teams, including large agency critical projects with a budget of 1M+.
  • 4 Years’ Experience directly managing resources, process, and timely deliverables on projects.
  • Experience working extensively with MS Project and other project management tools
  • 4 Years Demonstrated experience working on multiple simultaneous projects and assignments.
  • Demonstrated experience proactively identifying potential impediments, their escalation and timely removal.
  • Demonstrated experience managing Organization Change and Training activities on projects.
  • Detail oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
