We are seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join a growing team of systems analysts, software engineers, and quality engineers. The DataCORE technology stack is primarily comprised of web UI (i.e., Angular), Java services and job pipelines, Kafka, Redis, MongoDB/CosmosDB, and MySQL. Candidates for the Lead Software Engineer role work in conjunction with the engineering team to design, develop and deliver quality web-based software applications. As a team lead, the expectation is that this person will be responsible for delivering business critical projects while managing their day to day activities in an efficient and professional manner and ensuring that all teams' targets are met. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that the team maintains high morale during the entire process. You'll enjoy the flexibility to telecommute from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. Primary Responsibilities:- Management of the scrum team and all associated administrative managerial duties
- Serve as a primary IT resource for medium-size projects to large-size projects
- Oversees the technologies, tools and techniques used by the team
- Ensure that development standards, security policies and procedures are adhered to
- Work with the scrum team to get projects developed and implemented
- Provide support and leadership during development sprints across multiple scrum teams
- Ensure that all software developed within your team satisfies the business requirements as specified
- Provide accurate and timely estimates for tasks
- Identify solutions to non-standard requests and problems
- Solve complex problems and/or conduct complex analyses
- Conduct peer code reviews to ensure the work delivered by the team is of high quality standards
- Conduct or facilitate root cause analysis on all in-scope incidents and recommend a corrective action plan
- Work with team to achieve timely resolution of all production issues meeting or exceeding Service Level Agreements
- Work with business to prioritize production issue resolution
- Work with the teams to develop process improvement initiatives
- Undergraduate degree or 2 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree
- 8+ years of progressive experience in the software engineering field
- 5+ years of development and testing experience in Java
- 5+ years of experience working with relational databases
- 3+ years working with RESTful services
- 3+ years of Agile delivery experience
- Healthcare Industry experience
- Claims and prior authorization experience
- Working experience with one or more of the following Maven, Kubernetes, Jenkins, Github and mySQL
- Extensive experience in complex projects with division or company-wide scope
- Cloud experience
- Experience with NoSQL Databases
- Knowledge of AngularJS or Angular
- Understanding of Spring Framework, JMS, multi-threading and XML (Xml Beans, JAXP or JAXB)
