Hourly Rate: $67 W2; $77 CTC/1099 Job Description: Data And Analytics Specialist individual will be working on creating DES business units and executive data analytics and dashboards. Individual will actively engage in fraud prevention, detection, and control initiatives. Work involves extensive data analysis and large data extracts. The Technical Specialist is a senior level resource with specialized knowledge and experience in a specific technology. The Technical Specialist has an overall knowledge and understanding of application development and architecture that serves as a strong base for technical expertise in a specific product or program. Demonstrates expertise in conveying technical and functional concepts for a specific technical specialty. Identifies improvements to project standards to achieve high quality services/ products. Able to identify best practices and standards for the use of the product. Delivers support and design for industry specific applications that require integration with statewide systems or applications. Interacts with executive level business users or technical experts. May function as a niche technical SME. Advanced experience in the required technical subject matter. Proven experience with a technical specialty across large and complex implementations and systems Required Skills:
- Strong ability to understand business rules, laws and underlying data associations and get productive quickly. (5 years)
- 3+ years of strong experience in creating and prepping backend data for analytical tools like Tableau. (3 years)
- Strong experience in working with large databases and writing complex, adaptable SQL queries. (5 years)
- 3+ years of strong experience creating dashboards in Tableau. (3 years)
- 3+ years of strong experience as data scientist engaging in, creating, and verifying rules and processing for improved business function (3 years)
- Degree or certification in data science, business analytics, or related field is required. (5 years)
- Demonstrated experience working with unemployment program for NC or another state is a plus. (5 years)
