About this role:Wells Fargo is seeking a Technology Director/Engineering Excellence Leader to drive the strategy and roadmap execution of platform enablement and automation services for the Technology Infrastructure (TI) division.In this role, you will:Manage a team of engineering managers and engineering leads
Focus on delivering commitments aligned to enterprise strategic priorities
Build support for strategies with business and technology leaders
Guide development of actionable roadmaps and plans
Identify opportunities and strategies for continuous improvement of software engineering practices including:
Collaborate with Chief Technology Officers (CTO) to identify the standards and best practices for software engineering
Work with TI product teams to enable and adopt software engineering practices
Establish TI Software Engineering Excellence to drive adoption of Continuous Improvement/Community Development (CI/CD) tool chain in collaboration with CTO
Establish training for employees on Software Engineering Practices and CI/CD tool chains
Work with CTO to enable tools like JIRA that will enable and measure software delivery and velocity
Work with CTO to establish code release calendars that will enable TI efficiencies
Provide oversight to software craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third-party providers
Identify financial management and strategic resourcing
Set risk management guidelines and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives including proactive risk and controls enablement in partnership with automation services and security organizations
Develop strategies for hiring engineering talent
Lead implementation of projects and encourage engineering innovation
Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
Lead team to achieve objectives
Interface with external agencies, regulatory bodies, or industry forums
Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Technology Strategic Leadership
Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Drive product transformation for the Platform Enablement and Automation Services team in partnership with Chief of Staff team
Establish CI/CD pipeline for automation services team
Drive detailed Architecture and Design reviews for the Platform Enablement and Automation Service's products and services
Drive Store Front Design for TI Store front and rationalize all the products
Drive customer journeys for Platform Enablement and Automation Services
Required Qualifications:8+ years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
4+ years of Management experience
Desired Qualifications:Minimum of 8 years of experience with driving engineering excellence and transformation of software engineering practices
Experience working in a highly regulated environment with a focus on modern engineering and development
Strong expertise in designing technology solutions for Fortune 500 companies and presenting them to the application team from proposal to implementation
Knowledge and familiarity with adjacent technology areas including Cloud, DevOps and Agile transformation.
Deep understanding of the current state of the art for infrastructure automation, continuous integration/deployment, CI/CD tool, Agile and
cloud-based delivery modelsUnderstanding of blue/green deployment patterns, automated testing, release management practices.
High level knowledge of CI/CD tool (Jenkins, Github, Artifactory, Terraform etc.)
Technical Experience with either AWS, Azure, or GCP Public Cloud Platforms
Ability to mix deep technical expertise with simple, everyday language to deliver a story that is memorable, educational, and useful
Must have a firm grasp on the industry and anticipate trends and movements while balancing maturity and timing
Motivated self-starter who loves to solve challenging problems
Highly organized, detail-oriented, excellent time management skills and able to effectively prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high-volume, and evolving work environment
Comfortable managing multiple and changing priorities, and meeting deadlines in an entrepreneurial environment
