Unix Computer Operation Analyst Weekend/Night Shift (onsite; 2 Openings)

Please note that this is a 5 month contract position. Please note that this position is onsite in Raleigh, NC. Please note that this is a weekend shift/night shift: Wed - 11pm – 8am, Thurs - 11pm – 8am, Fri - 11pm – 9am, Sat - 8pm – 8amOR Sun – 8pm – 8am, Mon - 11pm – 8am, Tues - 11pm – 8am, Wed - 11pm – 9am There will be a 1-2 month training period that will be M-F first shift 8-5 before migrating to the assigned shift and hours. Basic Qualifications:• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field and a minimum of 1 year experience is required. Additional experience may be substituted in lieu of degree.• Intermediate UNIX/LINUX skills (comfortable with UNIX/Linux at the command line)• Ability to troubleshoot issues and remediate any issues.• Excellent customer service skills and ability to communicate effectively• Understanding of networking and file transfer protocols.• Strong problem solving skills• Experience with Windows Operations systems, Office suite and Outlook email.Roles and Responsibilities include but not limited to:• Monitoring and remediating issues with alerts and notifications to support servers and other application tools.• Responding to alerts related to file transfer issues or other data issues, and remediating these alerts.• Assisting partners via email and phone to resolve transfer issues which could be related to server, network or other infrastructure components.• Documenting issues and assisting with root cause analysis as needed.• Provide 24x7 support for Enterprise Level Networks.• Proactively monitor network status and taking appropriate actions as needed.• Work with the incident management team to determine cause of network issues.• Trouble shoot network incidents and work to resolve them.Applicants must include their telephone number.
