Job Description
Wake Forest Animal Hospital is seeking a full time Registered Veterinary Technician or experienced Assistant to join our expanding 4 doctor practice. Applicants must be compassionate, motivated, positive and have the ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients. Experience is required. We offer a positive team environment where everyone is valued . Must be able to work 1-2 Saturdays per month.
Our new team member should be able to perform the following;
- Obtain Patient history inside exam room
- Restrain cats and dogs
- Have Vaccine knowledge
- Give SQ and IM injections
- Take digital x-rays
- Draw blood
- Place IV catheters
- Have the ability to multitask
- Work well under pressure
- Work well as a team
- Give oral medication to cats and dogs
- These are just a few tasks that the veterinary technician/Assistant will be performing
The ideal candidate should have 2 + years of experience as a Veterinary Technician or Assistant
