Real Estate and Estate Planning Law Firm seeking a notary as needed to assist with real estate signings. Signings are scheduled 2-3 weeks out and are scheduled Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and coordinated with notary's availability. Pay is flat fee per closing, $40 per refinance signing (about 1-1.5 hours of time) and $80 per purchase signing (about 2-2.5 hours of time). Time includes pre and post closing duties such as printing, making copies, scanning, packaging documents for FedEx, and dropping package at the FedEx box in our parking lot. Must be a notary. Must be familiar with a copy machine and scanner. Familiarity with real estate documents helpful but not required. Must pass criminal background check.
