Schwab is looking for a Senior Team Manager who will be responsible for our Schwab Retirement Technologies Security Modernization Initiatives. This leader will drive the strategy for the security posture of a large enterprise application which supports external customers; both Plan level accounts and individual accounts across multiple channels and devices (including mobile). They will handle all aspects of both the strategic and day-to-day running of the Scrum teams. This includes, architecture and technology strategy oversight, recruiting, performance management, career growth and supporting our development, technology and business partners' needs. What you are good at

  • Be a senior advocate for the security posture of a large retirement software platform.
  • Lead technical teams in delivering highly scalable and reliable applications that meet business budgets/timelines while ensuring alignment to strategic technology vision.
  • Lead day-to-day activities and influence team members to use follow and support agile software development practices.
  • Develop and document resourcing roadmaps, budgets and schedules.
  • Ensure team is properly engaged, aware of career achievements/path, their role on the team and how it relates to others; lastly aware of their contributions to our overall goals.
  • Lead all recruiting activities across the team.
  • Identify and document the roles, tasks, and responsibilities of each team member. Set clear expectations and align members to their strengths to position the teams for success.
  • Identify gaps/risks early and establish mitigation plans (both technically & with regards to resources).
  • Increase the overall visibility of this team and establish relationships with key leaders in other groups.
  • Continually strive for improvements in process, talent acquisition/retention, application time-to-market and quality.
  • Provide hands-on technical coding and mentoring when necessary (a plus)

What you have

  • Eight years of application management/leadership experience with at least four to six years of distributed software development experience.
  • Experience with integrating to enterprise shared authentication platforms a plus.
  • Proficiency in leading multiple priorities in a dynamic, geographically dispersed environment.
  • Strong expertise with proven experience in high-throughput and low-latency real-time systems
  • Experience with Token exchange, Identity Provider relationships, Federation, Privilege Identity Management, and Mobile Security.
  • Solid understanding of SAML, OAuth, JSON API
  • Experience/Awareness of industry leading Multi-Factor service providers like Okta, Ping etc.
  • Experience working with Penetration testers, VeraCode code analysis, Qualysis and tracking and monitoring security remediation through Jira stories etc.
  • Deep understanding of SDLC, agile methodologies, values, and procedures.
  • Ability to analyze, propose and implement timely, efficient, quality solutions for all issues or problems within area of responsibility.
  • Strong influencing and problem-solving skills with an ability to identify partners, assess their needs and manage their expectations through effective communication.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required for composing and delivering technical presentations or other forms of documentation to different levels of management.
  • Strong coaching and mentoring experience to build and a sustain robust team.
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or related fields is required.
  • Financial Industry, Microservices & cloud-native, and DevOps experience (all a plus)
  • Versatile and deep knowledge of Platform as a Service (PaaS) (a plus) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) (a plus)
