Video Game - Linguistic Testers Needed (Durham)
We are a small company based in Durham that provides linguistic testing services for video games. Linguistic testers will be responsible to play through and review various video game titles after it has been translated to specific language. For example, that means that after a game is translated into French, German, and Italian, we have French, German, and Italian people come in to play the game and make sure everything looks perfect.
We do this for many languages, and right now we are looking for local native speakers in the following languages that are interested in working in video game testing, and are local to Durham, NC:
English (US)
Latin American Spanish
Brazilian Portuguese
Other languages welcome:
French
Italian
German
Castilian Spanish
Japanese
Korean
Simplified Chinese
Traditional Chinese
Russian
Polish
This is NOT full-time work. This is a project based job and the duration of the projects can vary (it might be 3 days, might be 3 weeks), and then it might be weeks until the next testing project.
The main criterion of our testers is that they are a NATIVE speaker of the target language, fluent is not good enough. For example, we want to get the perspective of a German player in Germany. So, the main skills required are as follows:
1)Native speaker of target language
2)Proficient with computers and programs such as Excel.
3)Video games experience is a plus
