Commercial Maintenance Technician - Job description
· Able to investigate issues, report findings and offer solutions
· Perform repairs
· Check control panels and electrical wiring to identify issues
· Conduct maintenance tasks such as replacing light bulbs
· Maintain, service, clean and properly store equipment
· Check functionality of safety systems (e.g. fire alarm)
· Inspect and repair all damages to building surfaces
· Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations
· On-call periods
· Respond to tenant issues
· Perform other related duties and activities as required
· Perform cleaning activities such as dusting, mopping, picking up trash etc.
Qualifications and requirements
· Minimum 2-5 yrs experience in commercial building maintenance
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
· Hand on experience with hand and electrical tools
· Good communication and interpersonal skills
· Works well as part of a team
· Able to perform periodic building inspections with minimal supervision
· Manual dexterity and physical stamina
· Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (use of company vehicle)
