Job Summary
BoxProtect Portable Storage is an on demand rental storage company, primarily working with restoration companies, contractors, etc. The Driver plays a lead role in carrying out daily operations. This position is responsible for the movement of boxes, ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining equipment and prepping for the next day. The ideal candidate SHOWS UP ON TIME, attention to detail, and has hours behind the wheel. This is a client facing role, you will be working with homeowners to place deliveries correctly, so must be personable.
3 Main Responsibilities:
Operations - Carry out deliveries/pick-ups in a timely manner, while approaching each movement box movement with carefulness and positive energy. Some early morning deliveries will be required.
Prep Work- Preparing storage boxes for deliveries. Preparing trucks are stocked and ready for the next days dispatch.
Maintenance - Maintain machinery via weekly/monthly checklists. Assure proper working order to avoid disruptions in daily activity.
Skills
Delivery driving experience is required
Mechanically inclined
Customer service experience
Track record of Timeliness and Reliability
Detail oriented
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with team members, drivers, and clients.
This position requires problem solving and thinking on your feet. Your daily calendar can change at a moments notice, whether its add-ons or issues that come up, you will need handle these hurdles while still completing deliveries on time.
