The Lead Web Developer will j oin an innovative engineering team with our pharmaceutical R&D client in the women's health space , wh ere you will assist with company growth momentum by helping to build out a new branch of their business . This role will give you the opportunity to help lead product strategy, definition, and promotion of their rapidly growing product s .

The Lead Web Developer role is a direct hire opportunity in Raleigh , NC and will answer to the Creative Director. Target salary is $90,000 - $120,000 + benefits . While there is some remote flexibility in this role, candidates must still be local to the Raleigh, NC metro area . At this time, our client will not support visa requests or any C2C arrangements.

Responsibilities

of the Lead Web Developer

:

  • Design overall architecture of the web application .
  • Maintain quality and ensure responsiveness of application.
  • Collaborate with the rest of the engineering team to design and launch new features.
  • Maintain code integrity and organization.
  • Experience working with graphic designers and converting designs to visual elements.
  • Understanding and implementation of security and data protection.
  • Act as team lead for a small group of engineers.

Required Skills

for the

Lead

Web Developer

:

  • Bachelor's Degree in a technical field preferred
  • 7-10+ years' experience in software development
  • 2+ years' experience in a team lead or project management role
  • Significant experience with WordPress and modern JavaScript, with associated libraries and frameworks (ex. Angular, React, Knockout, etc.)
  • Significant experience in at least 1 major back end programming language (PHP, Python, Ruby, etc.)
  • Experience with cloud messaging APIs and push notifications
  • Knowledge of code versioning tools (Git, Mercurial, SVN)

Any of these are a bonus!:

  • Development experience for mobile and desktop a plus
  • Understanding of server side languages such as Jade, EJS, Jinja, etc a plus.
  • Experience working in software in the telemedicine, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or clinical research sector
